Reviving Hinduism IV: God of gamma & sound— Vishnu

De Broglie helped us empirically confirm that a particle is also a wave and vice versa, and also that this phenomenon is mutually exclusive and can only be observed as independent events.

Werner Heisenberg let us know that the position and momentum of any particle cannot be determined together and there always exists an uncertainty when trying to determine both together.

When we sandwich both these theories together and put in the secret “believing in ourselves” sauce in between, to slowly chew and digest both these facts to further assimilate and integrate them into pure logic, we realize the absolute energy’s conundrum flowing through us, consciousness; and how the ultimate chaos-order paradox works in the universal system as a whole.

In the last piece, we discussed the concept of THE void, or absolute nothingness being Shiva.

Vishnu on the other hand is believed to be the indivisible particulate matter that gets manifested as any and all entities that have mass and occupies space. When we inspect matter as such in science, we find that researchers are continuously trying to find the smallest unit down to quarks, leptons, gluons, etc. while simultaneously studying outer space to also measure and see how much the universe is expanding, and to also see how many stars, galaxies, and suns occupy this universe. After thousands of years of close inspection, we still are exploring both ends to this very moment.

During the famous Mahabharatha war, when Arjuna decides to back out of the final war with the Kauravas, the famous Bhagavad Gita is recited by Krishna, the 9th avatar of Vishnu, to try and make Arjuna understand one’s dharma.

While Krishna is making his monologue, there is a scene where he decides to show his true form or vishwaroopam to Arjuna alone, and this is described as a form that encompasses every nook and cranny of the universe to the very last detail, and Arjuna on seeing this, is awestruck and humbly accepts the advice given and proceeds with the war to win it for the Pandavas, to finally restore dharma.

Another instance where Krishna shows the universe inside of him is when he is caught stealing butter as a toddler and Yashodha, his foster mother asks him to open his mouth and the whole universe is seen his mouth.

Let’s step away from the stories that mythology has to offer and look at any particle that is in a high vibrational state.

We know that according to simple harmonic motion, a particle moving at great speeds behaves, and is observed as a wave. So Vishnu can be perceived as an all-encompassing particulate entity at infinite Hz. We also sea this example clearly in play when we observe the tides and waves that happen in the ocean.

Another beautiful metaphor is the connection made between the mind and the moon, and prana or life-force as the ocean that ebbs and flows; i.e. due to the sound of the ocean produced by deep diaphragmatic breathing/Ujjayi breathing.

How Shiva was discussed as dark matter, and as the absolute void, Vishnu is the embodiment of the opposite of the same in the dual perception of the universe as matter and represents all light particles in the highest vibrational state. Vishnu is also very commonly referred to as the god of sound; we discussed that the only medium given to us to manifest energy as matter is sound and thus the concept stands consistent.

Let’s also step away from physics and look at neuroscience and sleep.

Sleep is divided into stages, mainly, light sleep, REM sleep, and deep sleep.

These are represented by specific frequencies and are measured as brain waves when we are asleep and melatonin gets generated which is induced by darkness and as a result of us lying parallel to the ground.

Light sleep or the aware state is represented by alpha waves, REM sleep as theta waves, and deep sleep as delta waves.

Whereas when we are awake, the brain wave states are mostly alpha, beta, and gamma. Beta states are when we are frustrated, worried, etc. in the present, and gamma when highly excited with something, be it something fearful or ecstasy inducing and the neurotransmitters involved are dopamine, serotonin, and sometimes adrenaline.

Gamma brain states are rare occasions that occur induced by very specific external events or can be naturally induced by consciously switching from the normal, involuntary clavicular breathing that we do(when the chest/rib cage expands and contracts), to conscious diaphragmatic (Ujjayi) breathing.

This process is advised to always be done by grounding that specific energy along with the moment.

Similar to the jyotirlinga and the Panchaboota linga system discussed in the earlier piece, we find a defined system of 4 temples for Vishnu/Hari/Narayana that stands prominent in the life of a Vaishnavite believer, a journey called the Char Dham yatra.

The pilgrimage is usually done in a cyclic manner starting from Puri Jagannath in the East, Rameshwaram in the South, Dwarka in the West, and Badrinath in the north. These temples are also believed to be strategically placed in magnetically relevant locations and by doing a pilgrimage in the above-given order, one does a clockwise circumambulation that spans the length and breadth of the whole country and hence the process is believed to cleanse the magnetic system within the subtle body.

Since the deity represents matter in all its magnanimity; in mythology and stories, he is described as a very royal god with gems, jewels, and materialism at its epitome. This same reason is why all the avatars are human-like and have very powerful virtuous purposes and are represented as characters with loving behavior and endless search and upholding of dharma.

These powerful gamma radiations are believed to be generated from Mount Kailash/Mount Meru, the house of gods, and they are meant to be taken in by consciousness, with the breath, to elevate our potential higher and higher to fulfill our own particular karmic purpose. Sometimes when we feel it flow, we get to see at specific times, that everything is high vibrational in nature also and this is Narayana, or the giving part of consciousness, the all-encompassing light, all of everything in an infinite vibrational state of existence and that which thereby tends to wave.
